Background

Mr. Burgess, as the founding principal of Burgess, Cawley, Sullivan & Associates, guides the real estate consulting and appraisal practice he established in 1978.  Today, working with one of the strongest group of professional associates in the real estate consulting and commercial appraisal business, the company focuses on servicing clients active in all sectors of the real estate market. 

Mr. Burgess’s services, combined with his specialized associates, have included acting as a consultant to developers and all levels of Government on many real estate projects, small and large, including financial analyses, feasibility and market analyses.  Assignments will typically include an appraisal function identifying development opportunities and appropriate values in respect of long term financing.  In particular, he has specialized in the industrial and commercial sectors, including shopping centres, the multi-family residential sector, mixed use projects and land subdivision.  His experience extends to rental arbitrations, expropriations and assessment appeal work, including appearances as an expert witness before various tribunals and courts, representing both the private and public sectors of the market.

Development Consultancy and acting as Advisor to vendors and purchasers complements his services.
