Brian Keenan, BBA, RI, AACI, P.App

Brian Keenan commenced his real estate career in 1998, joining the BC Assessment authority upon graduation from Simon Fraser University. He joined Burgess, Cawley, Sullivan and Associates (BCS) in 2000, obtained his AACI in 2004 and became a principal in 2006. In addition to his undergraduate degree, he holds two diplomas in Urban Land Economics (Real Estate Management and Appraisal) from the University of British Columbia.

Mr. Keenan works in both the appraisal and tax sides of the business. His assignments have included the preparation of a full range of appraisal reports for a variety of property types, however, in recent years he has specialized on office properties within the Metro Vancouver market. As part of this work, he has developed a broad knowledge base of office sales and activity within other major markets throughout Canada. Many of the higher profile projects he has worked on range in value between 150 million and a billion dollars. Mr. Keenan has specialized in property assessment appeals throughout his career. He appears as an expert witness for commercial arbitrations before the Property Assessment Appeal Board and the Property Assessment Review Panel.

Brian enjoys skiing, hockey, golf and working on his family’s orchard in the Okanagan.
